![]() Magic: The Gathering is the premier collectable card game produced by Wizards of the Coast that has been around for over 10 years with many more to come. But if you’re here, you probably already know that and are eager to get started! One of the hard things about Magic is the initial startup, as trying to start a collection and build a deck by buying packs can be very expensive, and building your first deck can be a daunting process that can leave you losing and not knowing why. This is where I come in. For many years I have run a service called Jim's Magic Auctions, where I sell a variety of inexpensive complete 60 cards decks perfect for beginner to intermediate level players looking to get rolling! All of the decks I sell have a solid focus and theme, from classic decks like White Weenie, to your much loved Elf, Sliver and Goblin decks. They also have all the fundamentals of deck building that you might not know about yet, like a good mana curve and synergy, and are well balanced. But who am I, and why should you buy my decks? My name is Jim Dаvis, and I have been a semi-professional Magic player for the past 3 years. I have played in Magic: The Gathering Pro Tours all over the world, from Yokohama, Japan to Paris, France to Honolulu, Hawaii. My best finish came in 2006 when I came in 24th in Pro Tour Prague and won $2,000 and a Dell laptop. I also finished in the Top 8 of Grand Prix Dallas winning $1,000, and am the current New York State Champion. As you can imagine, I have A LOT of cards sitting around in my room, and years ago I decided that the best thing I could do with them was to help make the game more accessible for newer players, while at the same time making a few bucks on the side to help fund my world travels. Thus, "Jim's Magic Auctions" was born. I have sold over 200 decks so far, with almost 100% positive feedback: ![]() My Decks As you can see, the price range for most of my decks falls around a very reasonable $10-$20, which provides an excellent starting point for a very low cost. I'm not going to lie to you and tell you these decks have a chance to compete in a top level tournament because they don’t; Most high level tournament decks cost hundreds of dollars and contain many of the best available rares (some of which cost more than my entire decks). What I can tell you is that my decks provide an outstanding value for the cost and are a great place to get started. Magic is a very customiziable game and my decks are very easy to add to as your collection grows. So what are you waiting for, check out my eBay page and get started! |
